It’s not unusual to encounter a film crew when traveling around Los Angeles. As we drove through Elysian Park today, we came across Chris Colfer doing a scene for an upcoming episode of the television show “Glee.” I’ve never seen the show, but it was fun watching them rehearse.

Chris looks so adorable in that coat. I think this may be the scene when someone dies on Glee.

It sure looks like a funeral, but an odd place to be having one. The location seemed pretty wooded, especially where the crew was standing.

Luckily, the one who died isn’t a person, but a bird. Still sad though.

A deceased pet makes more sense in the location they were in that day. Yep, still sad though.

We had a similar experience during one of our trips, our hotel near the Hollywood Bowl was across from a movie set. By the way, “Glee” is my daughter Kelli’s FAVORITE show at the moment. At Kent State, she writes weekly articles for the “Fusion” magazine on campas, one of the several school magazines. Does a fantastic job of it! If you would like to see her work, just go to the link below.

Also, my daughter Briana is traveling home to visit with us for a week. She arrives tommorrow night. This was a last minute trip but she wanted some to see us and decompress after the California Bar Exam. On Sunday, we are going to surprise my Mom for her 82nd birthday by driving to her place and taking her out to dinner.
Take care Jim.

Kelli is a very good writer! What’s her major? She sure knows her “Glee.” :-)
Hope your week with Briana is fun! Did dinner with Mom go well?

My Mom’s birthday dinner was so much fun. We ate at one of her favorite places – Olive Garden. I also ordered her a birthday cake from Bethel Bakery in a butterfly theme decoration. They have the best cakes!
